Welcome to the 2024 Merit Badge Day Hosted by Sycamore District 

Date: Saturday April 6, 2024

Location: Huntley High School, 13719 Harmony Rd., Huntley, IL 60142

Time: Check-in begins at 8:30 am

Classes begin at 9:00 am

Each scout should choose up to two merit badge sessions; at most one in the morning and at most one in the afternoon.

Capacity for each session is limited, if a session does not appear as an option, then it is full.

Merit Badges sessions are available for the "A" Morning, "B" Afternoon, and All Day Merit Badges. Some courses may not be completed that day.

Adults attending should choose option 'C - Adult Volunteer Registration

There will be no onsite registration.

Need to know:

  • Adult Leadership requirements:
    • Each unit sending a Scout should send a registered adult leader who will be available to assist counselors and to assist with supervising at lunchtime.
  • Lunch Details:
    • All participants are to bring a lunch since we have only an hour for lunch.  An area is available for eating brown-bag lunches that participants bring with them. There will be no food available on site.  There will be no refrigeration available to participants.  No microwave ovens are available at the facility.
  • Prerequisites for merit badges:
    • Please see the details of each badge for pre-requisites. All can be found by CLICKING HERE
  • Required items to bring: 
    • Wear your Field Uniform (Class “A”). Bring a water bottle, paper, pen, your merit badge worksheets, MB book, and blue cards signed by your unit leader.
  • What else you need to know:
    • Partial completions are a reasonable expectation for attending the Merit Badge Day.  There should be no expectations given that if a Scout registers for a Merit Badge, then completion is assured.

 

We will be asking for a donation of food, for Scouting for Food.

Extenuating circumstances will be considered. 30 days or more prior to an event -100% refund 29-15 days prior to event - 70% refund 14 days-8 days prior to the event - 30% refund 7 days or less prior to event 0% refund Should you use an incentive / coupon / etc. where there is a reduction in fees or complimentary then the refund / change in registration / reservation is as follows: 30 days or more prior to an event - 100% discount / incentive may be transferred to another registration 29-15 days prior to event - 70% discount / incentive may be transferred to another registration 14 days-8 days prior to the event - 30% discount / incentive may be transferred to another registration 7 days or less prior to event - 0% discount / incentive may be transferred to another registration
