The aims of NYLT:

• to give youth participants a basic knowledge of various leadership skills while helping them relate these skills to their own units;
• to give youth participants the confidence and the knowledge necessary to run their unit's programs;
• to provide youth participants an opportunity to share ideas and experiences with Scouts from other units;
• and of course, to have FUN.

This is achieved through an outdoor-setting. Skills covered in training include communications, vision and goal setting, team development, problem solving, conflict resolution and ethical decision-making.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Scouts BSA members must be at least 13 years old by the first day of the course and no older than 17 years old.

They must also have completed the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops and achieved the rank of First Class.

Registration cost is $284.00

Deposit of $200 per person is required at registration.  All registrations must be paid in full by 6/1/26.
