2022 U.S. Grant Pilgrimage

 

2022 U.S. Grant Pilgrimage will be held

In-Person April 22nd, 23rd, 24th!

 

 

Who can attend?  - Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venture Crews (youth and adults) their families and friends!

 

Cost? - $15 for event registration or $25 for event plus camping / per person *Multiple camping locations are available.

 Traditional Events for the Grant Pilgrimage

  • Historic Trail Hike
  • History Hunt (with the Galena Generals)
  • Grant’s Home and Washburn House
  • Galena Historical Museum
  • Blacksmith shop
  • Parade down Main Street Galena
  • Bucket Brigade
  • Cub Activities put on by the O.A.

   New Activities to the Pilgrimage

  • General Grant Costume contest.  Scouts will do their Best General Grant impersonation, knowledge about General Grant is encouraged.  Winners will receive a prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

  Notes on Program Area locations:          

  • Registration at the Pilgrimage will be at the Galena Bible Church 11108 US-20, Galena, IL 61036
  • Trading Post will be at Turner Hall, 115 Bench St., Galena, IL 61036
  • Cub Activities will be at Grant Park

Cancellation Policy
Blackhawk Area Council Refund Policy for all: Events / Trainings / Activities / Reservations All refund requests must be submitted, to the professional staff adviser, in writing (i.e. email request) prior to the event as the policy states below. Extenuating circumstances will be considered. 30 days or more prior to an event 100% refund 29-15 days prior to event 70% refund 14 days-8 days prior to the event 30% refund 7 days or less prior to event 0% refund Should you use an incentive / coupon / etc. where there is a reduction in fees or complimentary then the refund / change in registration / reservation is as follows: 30 days or more prior to an event 100% discount / incentive may be transferred to another registration 29-15 days prior to event 70% discount / incentive may be transferred to another registration 14 days-8 days prior to the event 30% discount / incentive may be transferred to another registration 7 days or less prior to event 0% discount / incentive may be transferred to another registration
