The aims of the NYLT course is to give  your youth participate a basic knowledge of various leadership skills while helping them relate these skills to their own troop/crew responsibilities; to give them the confidence and the knowledge necessary to run their unit's programs; to provide an opportunity to share ideas and experiences with Scouts from other units; and of course, to have FUN. This is all done in the camping environment. Skills include: Communicating well; Finding your vision; Setting goals;Preparing your  plans; Leading yourself; Team development; Solving problems; Resolving conflict; Making ethical decisions; Teaching EDGE; Leading EDGE; and Valuing people.
