DESCRIPTION: \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n Cowboy Action Camp \n  \n  \n presented by Blackhawk Area Council Range & Target Activities Committee \n  \n  \n Saddle up for an action-pack Western-themed campout. Scouts will compete in various BSA Nationally-approved Cowboy Action themed activities including lariat roping, Muzzleloader firing, archery, Rifle/Shotgun Range, Lever-Action Rifle and Pistol, Tomahawk Throws, and a chili cookoff. Friday night features an open shoot for adult leaders. Registration includes a Saturday morning Pancake Breakfast, main ingredients for Saturday's Dinner/Chili Cookoff (meat, onions, kidney beans), ammo for the shooting sports activities, and camping. *Per Guide to Safe Scouting, only youth ages 14 years old and above; or 13 years old AND completed 8th grade are allowed to use the Lever-Action Rifle and Pistol. All other activities are open to all ages Scouts BSA and Crew. \n  \n  \n Who: Open to Adults and Youth members in Scouts BSA and Venturing \n  \n  \n When: Friday-Sunday, April 17-19, 2026 \n  \n  \n Where: Camp Lowden (4418 S. Scout Road, Oregon, IL) \n  \n  \n Cost: $42 per Adult/Youth early-rate fee; fee increases to $52 per participant on March 25.
