Wilderness First Aid Training
Required training for remote high adventure outings
Wilderness first aid (WFA) is a course for anyone planning a remote high adventure outing. This weekend class prepares you to handle serious back-country emergencies. Wilderness First Aid is a comprehensive series of lessons in how to react and respond in remote, life threatening situations. Lots of activity and hands-on work in classroom and outdoor scenarios keeps it fun. Meals are not provide so please plan to bring your own food and beverages.
Who: Open to registered youth and adults, ages 14 years and up (must hold current adult CPR/AED certification)
When: Saturday, April 6 - Sunday, April 7 (both days are approximately 8 hours)
Where: Sumner Park (300 W. 1st Street, Pecatonica, IL)
Cost: $84 (includes course materials and certification; meals not included, bring your own food)
Prerequisite: Must hold current or complete prior to attending training Adult CPR/AED certification (offered through American Red Cross and local fire departments)
