Registration:
Early rate: $30 By Feb 10, 2026 Regular Rate: $40 Feb 11 to Feb. 17, 2026
No registrations will be accepted after Feb. 17, 2026
There is an optional lunch for $10
Cost:
Scouts $40 EARLY Discount fee before 2/10/26 Scouts $30! (LUNCH NOT INCLUDED)
Adults $0
There are many payment options: credit card, PayPal, E-Check, and checks are accepted.
Send checks to Blackhawk Area Council, 2820 McFarland Road, Rockford, IL 61107. Put "Pioneer Merit Badge Midway" on memo line.
Sessions: Morning: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Afternoon: 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Recommendations:
- Scouts should make their merit badge selection as soon as possible
- Be sure each Scout has a merit badge book for each badge selected
- Pull from your library, or Purchase it
- Print a merit badge workbook for each Scout for each badge selected:
- Go to https://www.scouting.org/skills/merit-badges/all/ for requirements and downloadable merit badge books
The following must be done to earn the Merit Badge:
- Read ENTIRE merit badge book before attending the Midway
- Complete ALL pre-work BEFORE attending the Midway
- Attend the merit badge session
- Hand the pre-work in to the Counselor
- Be sure each page has:
- Scout's Name
- Troop number
- Requirement number
