Elevate your Scouting experience and challenge yourself to try things you never thought you could at the 2026 National Jamboree. For 10 memorable summer days 30,000 Scouts and leaders from all across the US and beyond pack this ultimate Scouting destination to experience the adventure of a lifetime. Scouting's flagship event is held every four years at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia and provides the best of Scouting. Features include; one of the longest zip line courses in North America, a world-class skate park, ATV offerings, treetop canopy tours, rock climbing, patch trading, stadium shows, and much more!
Blackhawk Area Council plans to send a local contingent to the 2026 National Jamboree. Currently we're projecting to take 54 youth and 6 adults. The type of unit(s) (Female Troop, Male Troop, Crew) is determined by the type of registrations. Participation is open to Scouts BSA and Venturing youth and adults. Youth must be at least 12 years old by the first day of the Jamboree.

When: July 22-31, 2026
Where: Summit Bechtel Reserve (Glen Jean, WV)
Cost: Anticipated cost to be $2,700 (included variable costs due to transportation and food are pending) if registered prior to November 3, 2025; $3,000 for registrations on/after November 3, 2025; a non-refundable deposit of $300 is due at time of registration

All participant payments are non-refundable but can be transferred to another non-registered participant who replaces a cancelling participant. Additionally, application requires that the Scouts and Venturers abide by the specific policies of the Jamboree and failure of any participant to adhere to those policies will serve as grounds to have their participation revoked (with no refund).
