2024 U.S. Grant Pilgrimage
2024 U.S. Grant Pilgrimage will be held
In-Person April 26th, 27th, 28th!
Who can attend? - Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venture Crews (youth and adults) their families and friends!
Cost? - $16 for event registration or $26 for event plus camping / per person, after April 2nd registration fee will increase $5 *Multiple camping locations are available.
Traditional Events for the Grant Pilgrimage
- Historic Trail Hike
- History Hunt (with the Galena Generals)
- Grant’s Home and Washburn House
- Galena Historical Museum
- Blacksmith shop
- Parade down Main Street Galena
- Bucket Brigade
- Cub Activities put on by the O.A.
New Activities to the Pilgrimage
- General Grant Costume contest. Scouts will do their Best General Grant impersonation, knowledge about General Grant is encouraged. Winners will receive a prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Judging will take place at the Market house at 11:00am Saturday April 27th.

- Registration at the Pilgrimage will be at the Galena Bible Arts and Recreation Center(ARC) for short 11084 US Hwy 20 W Galena Il 61036
- Trading Post will be at Turner Hall, 115 Bench St., Galena, IL 61036
- Cub Activities will be at Grant Park
