Course: BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)

Dates: Friday, October 11th to Saturday, October 12th  (overnight)

Location: Cary United Methodist Church (500 N. First Street, Cary, IL 60013)

Time: 5:00pm Friday to 6:00pm Saturday

Cost:  $25

This one-and-a-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO training consists of an online pre-requisite component in addition to an overnight hands on practical. BSA’s Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the discovery of the necessary tools to help units carry our a successful camping experience. Completion of this course is mandatory for a MINIMUM OF ONE adult on a Pack overnighter.  

Participants will need to bring the following:

 - Camping gear, including a Tent and appropriate Sleeping Gear for the weather

 - Warm clothes

 - Camping chair for outdoor sessions and fire bowl

 - Favorite scout-appropriate campfire skits and songs

 - Field uniform (Khaki and Green)

 - Certificate showing completion of online BALOO pre-requisite training

 - Scout Health Form & Copy of Insurance Card (Parts A & B - Does not require Dr. Physical)
